The Sierra Gold Quilters Guild was founded in 1982. We have 75 members and welcome all levels of quilters. The purpose of our organization is to promote the art of quilting in a warm and friendly environment. If you are new to the area, or just passing through, please join us!
Throughout the year the guild provides opportunities for members to learn a wide variety of quilting skills and techniques through our Speakers and Workshops.
We also provide general guild information and an opportunity to help guide the future of the guild through business meetings held in the first hour of our monthly guild meetings.
Community Service is an important part of our guild activities. We provide quilts, chemo caps, adult clothing protectors, fidget mats, walker bags and Christmas stockings to many organizations and emergency service agencies in our community.
The Guild holds a biennial (every 2 years) Quilt Show. Additionally, we display quilts in the Amador County Fair. At the fair, quilts may be submitted for professional judging.
